Iwona Łotysz

Iwona Łotysz graduated from the Faculty of Economics and International Relations at the Cracow University of Economics with a major in Foreign Trade. She then completed postgraduate studies in European Integration and a Master of Advanced Studies (DESS) in French and EU Law. She completed further postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, qualifying as a Culture Manager. She also completed an internship at the Commercial Counselor’s Office at the Polish Embassy in Rome.
Ms. Łotysz has served as POC Deputy Secretary General since 2019. She has been a member of several Olympic missions, and has served as secretary of the POC Commissions on Medicine, Sports Law, Sport and Environment, Science and Innovation. She was the supervisor of the Sport Arbitration Tribunal in 2005-2007. Ms. Łotysz is currently responsible for the POC Council and the International Commission. For many years she has been working with the EOC EU Office in Brussels. She has helped organize “Polish Day” cultural events during the Olympic Games, as well as conferences and meetings with guests from Poland and abroad, the “Polish Sports Round Table” (twice) and many gatherings as part of the International Olympic Movement.
Ms. Łotysz was responsible for submitting Krakow’s bid for the XXIV Winter Olympic Games on behalf of the POC. She has twice sat on the board of the organizing committee and has been managing the project for almost two years. We now draw on her wealth of knowledge, and her expertise and experience, in international relations as we organize the 3rd European Games Krakow and Malopolska 2023.
For many years Ms. Łotysz has been serving as a certified translator for the Chief Technical Organization in French, Italian and Spanish.
