of the Polish Olympic Committee
On October 12, 1919, in the conference room of the Hotel Francuska in Krakow, the Committee for Poland’s Participation in the Olympic Games was established. In December of the same year, the statute of the committee was adopted, which was called the Polish Olympic Games Committee (PKIO). Prince Stefan Lubomirski became the first president.
